AYETS, PETIAS AND...HORSE MILK

The Condroz village of de CELLES has very ancient origins and its high point was the arrival of the monk Hadelin in 669. HAN-SUR-LESSE, whose inhabitants are known as Ayets, is situated on the banks of the Lesse. Han is best known for its caves. LAVAUX-SAINTE-ANNE used to be part of the Principality of Liège. In the 13th century a castle as well as a chapel was built dedicated to Sainte-Anne. The village of SOHIER spreads itself out along just one wide road, which gives it a family feeling. The hamlet of SECHERY has kept all the charm of the old Ardennes. The proximity of Sechery to Redu, the village of books encourages one to visit it. Situated between Tellin and Wellin, RESTEIGNE extends along the river Lesse. Its houses, built of limestone blocks link the church area to the Castle.
